Della Mini-Split
Della Wi-Fi mini-splits use a Tuya module. The driver talks to each indoor unit directly (TCP 6668, protocol 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5) with no cloud and no bridge while it is running. Up to 12 units. The setup script can read device IDs and local keys from a Tuya IoT project, then the processor stays on the LAN. This driver is in the workbench, including a build proven on Dan’s ICP-2, and is not sold yet.
Workbench 2026.10.29.5 does not stop this driver after 120 minutes.
The license code is written. This packaged file does not call it yet. The key you buy is still a real per-processor license for the build that does.
What it does
Climate Power, cool, heat, auto, dry, and fan. Setpoint in °F or °C, fan speed, sleep, and swing. Changes from the IR remote or the Smart Life app show up on the processor.
Local only at runtime The cloud is used to learn the local key during setup. The processor does not need the internet to run the units.
Profiles Known Della data-point maps, plus a map built from the unit’s Tuya thing model so other models work without a code change.
Compatible hardware
- Della (or other Tuya category kt) indoor units on the same LAN as the processor.
- Each unit needs a DHCP reservation. The module accepts one local connection.
- Models covered in this version: Wi-Fi mini-splits with a Tuya module (WBR3 / WBR1).
What the job needs
- Processor runtime 14 or later.
- A Tuya IoT project is needed the first time, to read local keys. Re-pairing a unit changes the key.
