Processor MAC
Read the MAC the processor reports.
Checkout asks for the MAC in the form the processor reports, with colons and uppercase hex. An example from an ICP-2 probe is
00:15:26:10:A2:36. You can paste it with colons, dashes, or as twelve hex digits. The store normalizes it before
Stripe and before the key is signed. The key itself stores the twelve hex digits in lowercase. The driver compares them the same way,
after it strips separators.
Where to read it
- Open the system in Integration Designer and select the processor.
- Open the processor’s status. The MAC is the processor address, the same value the driver reads as
System.MACAddress. - Once a licensed driver build is installed, the driver can also show that address in its own status. The 2026.10.29.5 downloads do not add that status line yet, so use the processor status.
- Copy the whole address. Do not use a touch-panel MAC, a switch port, or the dealer PC.
Wired and Wi-Fi
Use the wired Ethernet MAC when the processor has one. That is the address the license should follow if the processor is also on Wi-Fi. On the 29 October 2026 ICP-2 probe, a Wi-Fi-only processor’s MAC stability was not confirmed. If a processor has no Ethernet MAC, email Dan the address you see before you buy, so the key matches the address the driver will read.
